Anza Boreggo Moon Run

This is a night time run through Anza Borrego starting at the Canyon Sin Nombre trail head on S-2 at mile marker 51.3.  We'll meet at Carl's Jr in South San Clemente and Caravan.  Or you can meet at the trail head.  We'll see mud caves, traverse the old swap area, do Diablo drop off, and run down fish creek to the primative camp. We'll make camp at the primative camp about 2 AM.  At dawn we head for home. Bring snacks.  No firewood will be needed.

Difficulty: 2+

1 Graded road; Any 4x4 vehicle or higher clearance 2x4 vehicle with no other modifications
2 Road rarely maintained; 4x4 with no low bumpers. Anti-sway bar disconnects recommended. Minimum 30" tires and some off-road experience is helpful
3 Difficult terrain and road rarely maintained; 33" tires, Suspension lift, Off-road driving experience, body armor and Rear locker recommended. Stock vehicles will likely take damage
4 Very difficult terrain, road never maintained and possible erosion; 33" tires, Anti-sway bar disconnects, Rear hard locker, Off-road driving experience, and Rock sliders required. 35" tires, front locker, Full cage, and 4:1 transfer-case strongly recommended. Chance of mechanical failure and body damage
5 Extremely difficult terrain with large obstacles and roll over potential; Full cage required, 37" tires strongly recommended. Good chance of mechanical failure and strong chance of body damage

Last gas in Ramona.

Continue east on 78 through Julian until scissors crossing then turn south onto S-2 until mile marker 51.3-ish where we turn into Canyon sin Nombre.
