The Saturday's run is long and starts with a driver's meeting in camp at 8:15 AM

Bring your desert mail...there will be a desert mail box.

Friday after setting up camp we'll run some local trails around camp.  This is open desert camping.

Saturday we will be running out of camp and taking pavement 8 miles South to the trailhead where we turn East on the Kingston Wilderness trail.  We will exit the wilderness before lunch at Excelsor Mine Rd.  Then North on Excelsor Mine Rd. to Horse Thief Springs, where we will eat lunch.  Time permitting, we'll pass through upper Noonday Camp and stop at the Noonday & Gunsight gold mines.  From there we'll travel the Western Talc Mine Rd to the talc mine and the entrance of Sperry Wash trail and follow the abandoned railroad grade.  The Sperry Wash trail makes several crossings of the Amargosa River as it takes us back to camp.  There are lots of endangered pup fish in the river camp to see as you make the river crossings.

Sunday we’ll go to the mines and springs at Owl Hole Spring, Go up to the radio tower peak. This is an easy 60 mile trip across a lot of desert and mountains.
