Description
This is an easy night run to catch the Perseids Meteor Shower.
Perseids is expected to peak on Aug. 12, and the view won't be hindered by a full moon like last year. The Perseids are considered the "best meteor shower of the year" by NASA, with about 50 to 100 meteors seen per hour under ideal conditions.
A reclining chair or cot may be the most comfortable as youll want to be lying on your back to watch the sky.
We’ll meet at the Maple Springs Trailhead parking lot at the end of Silverado Canyon at 11:00pm and begin working our way up to the peak.
