Clark's Grade

June 11th 2022

Description

This is a replacement for Miller Jeep Trail, since everyone cancelled.

Changed meeting place, Norco Chevron would take us off the most direct route.

Meet for Breakfast at 7am, or skip breakfast and meet about 7:45.

  • Brandon's Diner, 10246 Indiana Ave. Riverside, CA. 92503
  • Keith tells me there is cheap gas right up the road.

I have taken Clark's Grade from Angelus Oaks to Skyline Drive, south of Big Bear. I want to make that run again, but make it a longer run by starting at Old City Creek Road / FR-1N09, off Highway 330. The combined trail is 28 miles, plus a bit more off-road trail to get to pavement in Big Bear.

We may be running into road closures. I have been looking at sbnf web site. Clarks grade shows closed for winter. It's not winter. I called the ranger, and they didn't call back. I'll map out alterntes, and we can look over them at breakfast.

Sorry for last minute changes.
