by request, I will be continuing Bruce's tradition of having a hospitality table Friday night and possibly Saturday night as well, if you wanna participate bring something to share  

We will be camping in an area known as cactus garden, this would be dry camping, I'll have a metal fire pit, bring fire wood.

Meet Friday 9 AM at Christmas Circle downtown Borrego Springs, (We will not be going directly to camp)

from there we will head up coyote canyon and have lunch. After lunch We will come back out, visit some desert sculptures and Town if anybody needs supplies, take some trails on the way to camp  

Saturday will head out and Play follow the leader, check out some or all the highlights, Borrego sink,inspiration point, and fontspoint, and more,  maybe hills of them moon wash  and rainbow wash depending on how many go. 
Also  a  stroll through the slot, a cool slot canyon. Lunch will be dispersed on the trail, Don't know where but will find a spot, don't know if we'll have shade so bring some if you want some. 

I'm going out Thursday, camping 3 nights.

Difficulty Level: 2

Trail Rating 1 Graded road; Any 4x4 vehicle or higher clearance 2x4 vehicle with no other modifications
Trail Rating 2 Road rarely maintained; 4x4 with no low bumpers. Anti-sway bar disconnects recommended. Minimum 30" tires and some off-road experience is helpful
Trail Rating 3 Difficult terrain and road rarely maintained; 33" tires, Suspension lift, Off-road driving experience, body armor and Rear locker recommended. Stock vehicles will likely take damage
Trail Rating 4 Very difficult terrain, road never maintained; 33" tires, sway-bar disconnects, Rear locker, and Rock sliders required. 35" tires, front locker, Full cage, and 4:1 transfer-case recommended. Chance of mechanical failure and body damage
Trail Rating 5 Extremely difficult terrain with large obstacles and roll over potential; Full cage required, 37" tires strongly recommended. Good chance of mechanical failure and strong chance of body damage

To get to Borrego Springs, I five freeway south to California 76 E. Take the 76 till it ends, at Highway 79. Left turn on Highway 79 to the S 2, turn right. S 2 to the S 22, turn left. Follow the S 22 all the way to Borrego Springs. There's a stop sign at the bottom of the hill on Palm Canyon Drive, turn right. Drive to Christmas Circle you can't miss it, it's a big circle.
