Inscription Canyon

January 15th 2016

This is an easy road trip that includes is a two night stay at the BLM Owl campground near Barstow.  There is a small cash fee to BLM for camping.   We'll see Inscription Cannyon, Black canyon, Tonka Town, Rainbow Basin (by day and by night) and other sites. This area is well described in the book Backcountry Adventures Southern California.  I hope to get there early enough to get the Group Campsite.

There are vault toilets, picnic tables, and sun shades. Bring your own water. Bring Firewood.

We leave the camp at 9 AM Saturday morning.

Sunday morning we'll leave for home unless people want to make a short run in the area of Copper City Rd.

Non club members need to call me at 949 275 7602 and introduce yourselves. We like to have some idea of your camping and off roading capabillities before you show up.  You must have a CB radio at a minimum for communication. Ham radio is prefered.
