When descending a very steep grade where the rear tires might unload or begin to fishtail (as in soft sand), be mentally prepared to accelerate on the gas downhill and you will straighten out. By no means brake hard since you will shift your center of gravity forward .
When climbing a steep grade, if you can winch your front suspension down it will lower your center of gravity. If you're not set up to do that then be prepared if the front end lifts too quickly to shift to reverse. If you must brake hard, the rear suspension will compress thereby increasing the problem (watch U tube vids under Potato Salad hill).
Bottom line when climbing steep ledges, do as slowly and in control as you can.
