Description

The gates at Lockwood - Miller will not be open until later this month. Bummer!
The alternate will be Panamint Mtns: South Park and Pleasant Canyons on the 8th and 9th of May .  This will be a two-day camp on trail trip. Bring food, water and camping gear. Camp will be a "dry camp" and primitive facillities. (bushes) - .  Mining history and beautiful scenery.   Confirmation of the trail plan will be at the May Club meeting.
Tow Rigs can Park at the Ballarat Store - Let the proprietor know your vehicle will be there & leave a donation.

1 Graded road; Any 4x4 vehicle or higher clearance 2x4 vehicle with no other modifications
2 Road rarely maintained; 4x4 with no low bumpers. Anti-sway bar disconnects recommended. Minimum 30" tires and some off-road experience is helpful
3 Difficult terrain and road rarely maintained; 33" tires, Suspension lift, Off-road driving experience, body armor and Rear locker recommended. Stock vehicles will likely take damage
4 Very difficult terrain, road never maintained and possible erosion; 33" tires, Anti-sway bar disconnects, Rear hard locker, Off-road driving experience, and Rock sliders required. 35" tires, front locker, Full cage, and 4:1 transfer-case strongly recommended. Chance of mechanical failure and body damage
5 Extremely difficult terrain with large obstacles and roll over potential; Full cage required, 37" tires strongly recommended. Good chance of mechanical failure and strong chance of body damage

Rendevous at: 6th Street Chevron in Norco




We will meet at the Chevron Station at 6th Street off I-15 in Norco at 7PM on Saturday 5/8.
We will travel North on I-15 to 395 N. Past Red Mountain we will take Trona cut-off to Trona (last Gas- then on to  Ballarat ghost town to start the trail.
